Asian OSS Master Training Program, KL
5-9 February 2007

The Center for International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC) Japan, Singapore Office with the the support from the Malaysian National Computer Confederation (MNCC) and Open University Malaysia (OUM) will be conducting a five-day workshop at the Open University Malaysia from 5 to 9 February 2007. 

Around 45 foreign and local participants are expected to attend this workshop. The workshop is fully subsidised by the organizers.

The objective of this workshop is to provide a common platform for OSS trainers and industrial practitioners to:

  1. Consolidate OSS Essentials Training Material developed as part of Asia OSS training and workshop
  2. Establish networks with OSS community from IT industry in Asia (to increase industry participation)
  3. Improve participation of IT professionals working for Japanese firms or involved in Japanese cooperation projects in Asia
  4. Develop training materials in the areas of OSS application and deployment
The workshop is divided into 2 Sessions:
  1. Master Trainers Workshop 5-7/Feb
  2. Industries and Application 7-9/Feb
