The MNCC Excellent ICT Student Award 2005 is an award that has been presented since 1997. The main purpose of the award is to encourage the development and the study of the discipline of information and communications technology. The winner of the Excellent ICT Student Award will be presented with a cash prize of RM 3000.00, a certificate and a plaque for remembrance.

MNCC takes pride in inviting nominations of student from Faculties/Schools of Information Technology, Communications, Computer Science or equivalent. As a guide, the nominees will be assessed based on criteria as in the following:

Academic achievement at First Class or equivalent level in 2005
Involvement and contributions at institution, state or national levels

The closing date for nominations is 5 August 2005. Each nomination must be made using the form downloadable from here (OpenOffice-Writer format MS-Word format) and to be submitted via the respective Deans of Faculties/ Schools or equivalent to the following:

The Award Ceremony will be on 6 September 2005, in conjunction with the beginning of the ICT Month 2005 Malaysia at the Malaysian International Exhibition and Convention Center (MIECC), The Mines Resort, Kuala Lumpur.
