hong yee,  interesting point  ... i did ask myself the significance
/value of my suggestion last night after my post.

i guess my view is .... irrespective of what they did in university,
what's their career finally (these 9As achievers ),  what did they
finally do  10 years down the track.  This is nolonger just about
university and IT.  Did the bulk of these achievers become the pillars
of our society ?  Are they any different, in the final analysis from
those who did not get 9As ?


I look at my nieces and nephews...the inhumanely hours they spent on
school work and tuition  .. it is almost a childhood lost ... they spent
so many hours achieving these As ... maybe only to discover years later
that it (probably) wasn't necessary.  Will they then question if it was
right thing their parents put them thru' ?  you can buy many things with
status and money ....but you can't buy a childhood lost .....

ah ... maybe i am getting philosophical about this ...
