degree of truth here depends on 

1.  How much weight you put on a report that's sponsored by microsoft for microsoft ?
    IDC, like any analysts gets paid ...'nuv said

2.  I would like to see how they arrive at the numbers first, otherwise IMHO it's 
just a waste of paper.... anyone have access to the full report ?

3.  How much you trust Microsoft ... ;-)
