I contacted DELL, and they say no way. I read somewhere (I think on the
ZDnet network) that someone wanted to do that with a Compaq, I think. Suceed
in doing that, but gone through a lot of trouble like writing letters etc.

If I am not mistaken, in the purchase agreement, you are supposed to take it
all together, or take none. Sorry, gotta check that out yourself.

Anyway, I find the Windows license, handy: still need it at times ;-)
