Re: [ossig] Business Model



For me, to get into the linux business is not to sell
the os for getting the profit, the profit margin is
really low for this kind of business model ... and
sorry to said it's quite a tough business too. 

But look at the bright side, if you have a company
like Red Hat in Malaysia, and be innovative, chances
to create another killer app or solution in linux is
high ... because you will have the technology, good
people who truly understand computer, plus standing on
the shoulder of a giant. I guess by mimic IBM business
model is going to be tough, and only to be creative
and create new market is the way to go to fully
utilize the knowledge and resources of linux
community.
So your business model work might work if you using
distro to be your portal or stepping stone;)
