Thanks, it's really helpful.
I didn't know there is such service to updating your
dynamic IP address in DNS server constantly.
After reading some doc there, there are couple thing
which will be appear to be trouble if using these
solution. By using Dynamic DNS server solution, but we
still need to consider our DSL/ISDN connection, it's
seem like if our ISP block the all the port or certain
port to connect to the user computer, there is no way
to work around it unless you already own another
server to proxy or forward all the data through
certain port.
Plus www.dyndns.org maintain they DSN database at
3.00amEDT, about 20-30 minute downtime which is around
3-5pm in Malaysia, which might cause trouble.
I think I will consider it after getting more option.
Anyway user in Malaysia have use this dynamic DNS
solution? maybe you can share with us with your
experience.
