Re: [ossig] triple boot possible???

The installers of most 'good' OS should allow you to
do all sorts of clever partition stuff like this when
you first install them. I'm pretty sure RH does.

Partition magic can sometimes help as well - I had
triple boot a while back, Linux, Windows and Windows-backup.

As an alternative, most PC BIOSes allow you to choose
which HDD is used for booting. So, you could dual
boot from the first HDD, and also boot on the
2nd HDD, and switch via the BIOS. It helps to draw
a map on paper of all your partitions in this case,
so if booting fails, you at least know what is where.

Or, you can also
buy hardware devices which physically switch between
two hard disks. Good for anti-virus protection -
make sure your backup disk image is not even physically
online.

Hi guys,

A really stupid question. I personally have never done this, but can i install two different distros of OS ? like can I have Mandrake and freeBSD and the "other" OS installed on one hard disk with triple boot? why triple boot, 'cos I still need to have the "other" OS on my workstations.
