It's not as simple as that-lah. Let me give you an analogy. Take dengue
and life style diseases, you don't achieve much by the treatment you
give to those affected and infected. MNCC, individuals with good
intention etc will not make great impact no matter how much they promote
via installfest, training sessions etc. I'm not belittling everyone's
efforts. It's just that unless effective "business/marketing" methods
are used, adoption of oss will remain insignificant, despite what I said
of MAMPU's role.
Dinesh made a start with his talk on oss to a MIMOS/NITC/DAGS organised
meeting end of last year, but the "marketing" of the talk was not well
done and there was no follow-up efforts on any of the mentioned party's
part. I remember there was a guy whose was ? supposed to implement oss
in local government projects present at the talk. I wonder if he is
still on track or has succumbed to M$.net too.
