Well, ktouch (http://ktouch.sourceforge.net) is very nice, but I'm
having a hard time getting the monkeys to use it - they seem to be more
interested in Googling for pictures of bonobos on spring break than in
improving their WPM.
I have heard of some government-sponsored research in the US which
couples Squid web caching with a parallel-port interface for use in
public libraries and other places where content restriction is in
effect. I can't remember where I read about it, but apparantly they
would create a circuit between the PC's parallel port, a car battery and
the user's chair, opening and closing the circuit as directed by the
squid cache. Something like this might be nice.
