Why though? Why are these businesses failing? Or at least failing to actually _do_ business - which amounts to the same thing, no? Demand is there. Technology is there. Manpower can be found (if you can't grow it yourself, _import_!). Funds are available especially for the bigger companies. It just doesn't make sense (to my wee brain) why this sorry state of affairs continues!?
Anyway, I think this method (wireless) is a good way for other licensed isps to circumvent the telekom monopoly on copper-based last mile connectivity. I'm actually surprised MIMOS/Jaring has not done it yet. In fact, they could buy one or two of those companies and use the infrastructure to provide broadband. They are certainly capable.
Unless of course, there is an unsaid-hush-hush-mums-the-word agreement among the powers-that-be-and-other-assorted-policy-makers-and-enforcers to allow only tmnet/telekom to get a leg in and grab majority market share before letting the other isps a share of the pie? Or is that pure conspiracy-theory-hogwash? heh. Cynical? Certainly. Impossible? Unlikely. ;-)
