Does anybody know what  the function of /etc/hosts.conf is  in RH8?  The
manual      page    implies     that    it    essentially     duplicates
/etc/nsswitch.conf... why does RH deviate from the accepted way of doing
things!?

Does the fact  that this makes  me so mad  indicate that  I've drunk too
much coffee today?
