Re: [ossig] Linux notebook
I got Compaq EvoN1000c notebook, and installed Mandrake 9.0 (initially) on
it. Everything works fine - nic, display, sound, cdrw. I had to download the
lucent modem driver from the net to get the modem working.
Last week, one company gave me a demo wi-fi card :-), Orinoco, and it didn't
take that long to get it working.
Also used to have an NEC (I forgot the model) notebook. Got RH 7.2 installed
alongside windoze. Everything works fine, the only funny thing was that I
have to boot into windoze first then boot into Linux to get sound and network
working :-), kind of strange.
