Re: [ossig] 2 Malaysian organisations among 50 best uptimes

Ooopss, seems I made a mistake.
I had hoped everyone would jump with joy; either due to 'boleh' or due
to 'Open Source'; or both; and now this thing gets cut into pieces.

Looking into the pathology, you cannot compare apples with peaches.
RedHat advisories are not comparable with the Errata of the BSDs.
Because those don't contain all possible ports and packages; contrary to
RedHat. If you look at the Neophasis archive, there were quite a few
applications that have a flaw one way or another and are easily hosted
on FreeBSD. Dinesh wrote about 'kernel', not userland / ports.
RedHat looks at the whole distro. End of 'defending' RedHat.

I've been running OpenBSD on a router that can't possibly be used with
floppyfw and so far it is pretty similar: no single security advisory
since it came out (First of May). But this only goes as far as the
OpenBSD standard distro is concerned - in the case of a router that's
pretty much all what is needed.
