i'd point at my alma mater, Universiti Sains Malaysia. :)

the one thing i saw about by degree education, though i knew more about
computers, software and operating systems before i walked into USM, is
that it taught me why things are the way they are. prior to that, i knew
the how and the whats only. the professors and lecturers whom i looked up
to there, some of whom are still there are:

Prof Zaharin
Prof RK Subramaniam
Dr Khoo Soo Sek
Prof Zaharan & Prof Zaidah (who're on this list, iianm)
Dr Nor Adnan Hassan

towards the end of my degree, i met Dr Sureswaran Ramadas as well.
