[ossig] Linux+ Certification Fasttrack Course - 22-27 September 2003
Dear All,
Time flies.
It has already been a year, and MNCC-OSSIG is still alive and kicking :-)
Last year we did the Train the Trainers program for Linux+ and
LPI at Open Uni. It was the first TTT program for Linux in wide scale, and
the respond was vry good.
So this year we want to do something NEW,
first BootCamp in Malaysia!
Train you in compress timeframe and immediately sit for the CompTia
Linux+ exam. :-)
Our friend Brian Bork has been conducting Linux+ and LPI Boot Camp
in US for many years, and he is kindly to come down to Malaysia to kick
start this trend.
Who is CompTia then?
CompTia is the association make up of IT vendors in US
(like Pikom in Malaysia- except that they are big boys like IBM etc).
Their exam has been "standard" in US, I'm sure u guys heard abt A+,
Network+ exams.
Tech support in most US Vendors and Companies are req to take
these exam.
Anyway, for the benefits to members and to encourage certification,
the first 5 members of MNCC that register for the course will only pay $1,500

If you are not MNCC member, you can always join to be a member and
then register for this class :-)

If you work with Linux, of course you do. Then you need to pass the world recognized Linux certification exam from CompTIA.
CompTIA, the same people who brought you the global A certification for basic computer system hardware and software, also provides

In order to pass the Linux exam, you need to be prepared. In fact, just having experience with certain aspects of Linux may not be

for teaching and a humorous outlook in his presentations; helping both beginners and experts learn about various aspects of open

Note:
The Fast Track style of learning isn’t for everyone. It requires that you have a basic understanding of computers and are able to
learn quickly.
Remember. There will be an exam to prove that you attended the class and learned everything you could about Linux. Most students who
attend the full class and study hard pass their exam on the first try. If you pass the Linux+ exam, you will receive a certificate
from the CompTIA spelling out that you are a Linux user and beginning administrator.
Fast Track classes and boot camps are one of the fastest globally accepted means of obtaining IT certification and knowledge without
missing months of work or taking years to develop skills that you need for your career.
By including the courseware, labs, computers to practice on, software, exams and even snacks, we make sure that you become fully
immersed in the technology that we are teaching.
The courseware and exams are all officially provided or licensed by CompTIA and their partners.

best wishes.
