I vote against the creation of a separate list, for two reasons:

1.  That  would imply that  *this* list is  no  longer appropriate for
Linux-specific -  or,  indeed,   Apache-specific  or  OOo-specific   -
discussion.  Are we to fork off separate lists for  Linux, all the GNU
utils, Emacs vs. VI, Lucid vs FSF, etc.  etc. etc.?  And of course you
wouldn't be  able to talk  about OSX on this  new FreeBSD  list, you'd
have to use the Mach list...

2.  I   enjoy reading the   FreeBSD-related traffic,  even if  I don't
understand it most of the time ;)
