[ossig] fedora and more repositories...
hi folk,
realise some are playing with fedora, so here's a little gander at what
i've been up to.
0. fedora and redhat are "one" these days... so expect apt repositories
for rpm to exist for a long time now.
1. http://rpm.livna.org/readme.txt
that site has "problematic" packages, due to licensing issues and all.
apt works well with it, so give it a go.
2. if you're still with an older up2date, there's hope. go to redhat's
rawhide site, and download the latest up2date, up2date-gnome and rhnlib.
then, if need be, config files are in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources for
yum/apt config.
3. the death of lilo.... if you were used to it and sticking away from
grub, its no longer being shipped. can be seen negatively, since some
older boxes (intel) don't boot with grub.
anyone else mucking around with fedora, in test 2 already?
