Dear all,
MNCC members are urged to register for the Hack In The Box
Security Conference 2003 (HITBSecConf2003) to be held at Cititel,
K.Lumpur on 12-13 December 2003. For MNCC members, the
registration fee is only RM 200 per person.
In addition to the conference, there will be an exhibition as well as
Capture the Flag (CtF) competition. The CtF will be from 13-14
December and the exhibition will be on 12-14 December 2003.

HITB (M) Sdn Bhd is proud to present the Hack in the Box (HITB)
Security
Conference 2003 (HITBSecConf2003). The main aim of this conference is
to
enable the dissemination, discussion and sharing of network security
information.
Invited Speakers
----------------
Presented by respected members of both the mainstream network security
arena as well as the underground community, this conference promises to
deliver a look at several new attack methods that have not been seen or
discussed in public before. To achieve this goal, a number of
internationally acclaimed experts in the security field have been
invited
to present papers. Headlining the speaker list is the underground
security
research group, the Last Stage of Delirium (LSD), who have proven
themselves as the premier vulnerability publishers in recent times.
Other
invited speakers of international repute include:
* Sheeraj Shah - Director, Net-Square Solutions
* Nitesh Dhanjani, Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young
* Job De Haas Technical Director, Information Technology Security
Experts
* HD Moore - Co-founder Digital Defense Inc.

conference website. To cater for those who are more interested in the
business issues regarding security the conference will also feature a
business focused track running concurrently with the technical track.
There will also be an exhibition held in conjunction with the
conference
where leading security vendors and organisations are expected to take
part
to display their latest security products and services.
Cpature the Flag Competition
----------------------------
Alongside the conference and exhibition, there will be a hacking
competition known as Capture the Flag (CtF). Unlike other CtF
competitions held before locally, the HITBSecConf2003 CtF this time
around
will test both the attacking and defensive skills of the participating
teams and will be a great learning experience for them. Please see the

The two track security conference (Business Solutions / Deep Knowledge
Technology) will be held as follows:
Date: 12 - 13 December 2003
Time: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Venue: Cititel Mid Valley
The exhibition will be held as follows:
Date: 12 - 14 December 2003
Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Venue: Mid Valley Exhibition Center Hall 3
The CtF competition will be held as follows:
Date: 13 - 14 December 2003
Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Venue: Mid Valley Exhibition Center Hall 3
Registration Information
------------------------
Registration is now open. Due to the fact that an event of this nature
on
a scale of this size has not been done in Malaysia before, demand is
expected to be great and so to secure your place for the conference,
interested parties are advised to register and pay up now.
Conference Fees:
Individual: RM 250 (for two days)
Individual (early bird): RM 200 (for two days)
Student: RM 200 (for two days)
Student (early bird): RM 180 (for two days)
Note:
1. Early bird registration closes on 31 October 2003.
2. MNCC members are entitled to the early bird fees even after 31
October
2003. To qualify for this, MNCC members must include their MNCC
membership number for their registration.
3. Students must include their VALID Student ID when making their
reservation.
