cooperation with the German Federal Office for Information Security - 
issued a 'Migration Guide Windows to Linux'.
Even if you're not up to this at the moment, you will find a lot of
interesting information in this comprehensive guide of over 400 pages;
overview of licensing, technology, TCO, you name it.
