True, higher profits does not always trickle straight down to employees.

On a more macro level, you can always plot per capita wealth of nations
vs their productivity index. Yeah.. I know.. there are outlying dots due
to lucky bastards like Brunei, but generally it holds true.

In IT terms, would you expect to be paid higher if you coded better
software faster and better?

My way of coming up with incentives might be wrong, but there has just
got to be some sort of incentive to get Malaysians to start thinking
more. A hard recession perhaps?
