Hopefully, Novel won't do the same mistakes again:

[1] their development team (SuperSet) refused to create GUI while M$
developed easy to
    use GUI for NT - result: regardless of superior undelying architecture
    of NetWare compared to NT, their sales dropped
[2] created two competing product lines, GroupWise and Novell Internet
    Messaging System (NIMS)
[3] AppWare (yeah developing apps for Novell now is easier, but with the
    purchase of SuSe, ensure that AppWare or whatever is provided for the
    developer community)

And with regards to the aquisition of SuSe, hopefully Novell don't do The
Same
Thing Again

[1] bought UNIX System Laboratories along with the UNIX trademark (Dec 1993)
    and did The Same Thing Again, and then sold it to SCO
[2] mindlessly bought WordPerfect for $850 million (1994) and sold it to
    Corel for $158 million (1996) - they better Do Something about Ximian.
[3] its chairman, Jack Chessman, in 2001 called Linux "an immature operating
    system"

The Same Thing Again == Nothing
