Actually Apache is a damn good example of security for open source. The argument has always been that, MS has most of attacks/viruses because it's the most popular. Well here you have Apache running 2/3's of the net, and you can compare it to viruses/hacks affecting IIS. Another interesting thing is that Apache httpd is often used as a front for other web servers with use of RewriteEngine (zope), mod_jk2 (tomcat), mod_webapp(tomcat) and other web services you wish to run. That and it's use by domain parkers. Even then, in terms of sheer numbers, you can still cite Apache as a security example. -- "Optimized, readable, on time; Pick any two."
