i have received a number of queries and to answer them i have posted some
details
here.  

question: what makes a good open source employer; if there is such a
thing?

The company
we are an open source developer and integrator.  we are located in PJ and
we hv flexi working hours to accomodate the traffic jams that occur
daily. ;)  our staff either works frfrom 9-5, 10-6, 11-7 (mon-fri) with
the occasional Sat internal update  meetings.

Nature of Business.
1. we develop open source products; some of which are/will be GPL'd. 
2. we consult (and sometimes deploy)  on migration of  proprietary systems
to 
open source (eg HPOV to nagios) and integrate legacy applications to open
source
web based  applications. 

Our Team
We have a team of open source & java developers and 1 project
manager/consultant. 
we do not have any sales staff as this point in time.

Our requirements
as most of our applications and integration are based on open source
platforms, 
we need guys/gals who are familar with either linux or bsd. however if
you're not 
but willing to learn, we can consider your application.

our programming tools are primarily open source like PHP, perl, python and

standards like XML, Java ect.

knowledge of networking and databases would be advantageous.
