Hi Dr Molly,

First of all, why u need to convert to mov file ?? are u going to burn to
VCD ??
if u want to just present on the screen, then u can just save as SWF file
and download the player.
I will recommend Swift Player (you can download from download.com)

Thanks. I had been presenting it on a computer screen anyway. This format (.mov) was requested for compilation (with other presenters I suppose) for the National Pavilion at the ICT4D exhibition in Geneva next month. I don't understand the requirement for a presentation on a "plasma" screen sufficiently to argue on its need for whatever format. So I just gave them my entire flash presentation (swf and pla files including the application), but they said its "difficult" to convert to .mov file. So I thought that maybe there's an open source application that can be used to "save the swf file to mov file. Don't know anything about this.

Incidently can I convert a video tape recording to a digital format using an open source application? Just wondering.....

Molly
