[ossig] Kernel 2.6.3 on slackware 9.1 - it rocks

Well, _that_ was somewhat too easy. I read some horror
stories about other distro users upgrading their 2.4
distro kernels to 2.6 - it was almost an anti-climax
seeing how easily 2.6.3 was installed. (sure, there's
the kernel recompiles because some hardware did not
work and so on but no show-stoppers - didn't even have
to upgrade utils and libs) I say "almost" an
anti-climax until I upgraded kde to 3.2 and some other
upgrades. Wow. It sure rocks! It feels like I did a
hardware upgrade! It's been about a week now on 2.6.3
and I've had no problems at all. I'm suitably
impressed. :-)

Say what? He's moved to slackware? What happened to
freebsd?! Erm...well...heh. What can I say, it's too
seductive. Too much to elaborate here, though. Suffice
it to say, I'm a slackware convert.
