But time division multiplexing means each person does not get 1Mbps.
I suppose the customer needs to query whether bandwidth they get
quoted is peak or sustainable.
I agree that most people won't use their full bandwidth 24/7. But
some will. And since many people want broadband to download movies,
mp3's etc., many people will expect their peak bandwidth to be
sustainable for several hours.
There's a term for this, I forgot what. Load factor or something.
