Huh? But MCMC spelt it out in their _definitive_ document :) that the
unlicensed/ISM band is 2400-2483MHz. How is that the same as the
2504-2688MHz band?

Ah! I see where I went wrong. I shouldn't hv associated MMDS with the
~2.5GHz licensed band in Malaysia. My bad. IIRC, the 2504-2688MHz band was
initially licensed to MegaTV(?) for MMDS-based infrastructure but that
allocation was subsequently withdrawn because that company closed shop.
Hence, that block of spectrum ended up for grabs once upon a time.

BTW, isn't the 3.5GHz band strictly for point-to-point/fixed
infrastructure at the moment? If that's the case, then it won't be
possible to deploy point-to-multipoint wireless equipment on that
frequency band, will it? Which means that in order for ISPs (and ISP
wannabes) to reach the last mile over the airwaves, they'll have to rely
on the 2.5GHz band for now.
