[ossig] Apache2 Newb Q

I've been racking my brains but nothing works. Maybe somebody out there 
has been through this before. Here is my problem: I installed Apache2 
and bind it to port 8080 on my machine (doing this in Administrator 
account on XP Pro) and when I try to access it using localhost:8080, 
127.0.0.1:8080 and 10.0.0.11:8080 (this is my LAN IP, btw) all of those 
work and I get to the apache2 test page.

The problem comes when I go to www.whatismyip.com, get the public IP 
address for my 305E router and then tried to connect to port 8080 on 
that public IP. I get a "Connection refused" error.

I connected to my Router and set up port forwarding to forward all 
requests on port 8080 to my machine on LAN, which is 10.0.0.11. It 
didn't work. Scratching my head, I even set up a DMZ and put my machine 
on it.

I even went inside Windows and set the permissions for my apache2\htdocs 
to Everyone. I checked the logs and see that it is not logging any 
requests from outside of my network, leading me to wonder that perhaps 
the fault doesn't lie in my Apache configuration but the fact that the 
requests can't even reach my computer.

I have no firewall running, port-forwarding set up correctly so why 
aren't any requests getting through?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
