Yes, it's the X Windowing system. Its sad to note that Microsoft has
silly rules on the Microsoft Windows trademark:

Maybe if less people used it, and followed on Greg Lehey's advice, it
would be better: http://people.lemis.com/grog/windows.html - it really
does make sense...
