Hi All,
This is about the European Union and may have ramifications around the
world. I am writing this in a FYI (for your interest only) style.

At the European Union there are efforts by some organisations to enable
"software patents", something that has been available in the US for some
time and caused trouble to their industry and consumers.

The drafting of the law on this takes place now and there is a big
movement against software patents.
