You'd need to do server end validation too; depending on client side
validation only is suicidal.

There are several rich platforms for web client development - XUL, Flash,
Laszlo, one or two Java based ones and arguably Infopath too because while
it is not web based, it is still a rich front end for form entry apps. All
rich, all powerful for validation purposes. But that never absolves the
server from performing validation too.
