Re: [ossig] What's Wrong With VB ?

j2ee with struts .... har..har.. har... will take me ages to even write
a stupid simple 'hello world' program. played around with jsp, but then
found out that you also needed to be good in all the other related
technologies like j2ee, struts, xml, xlst, x-this, x-that. then there
are jboss, jdo, etc.

dreamweaver costs rm 1600 - might as well use vb rm 400.

saw the quanta web page. did not quite see a reason for me to use esp
for building database applications.

phpEclipse sounds interesting. i will need to try this out. eclipse and
the plug-ins will probably cover almost every programming that i need.
thanks, had always thought eclipse as a java ide.

the zend ide ??? hmmm..... did you mean the zend studio ? that costs
rm1200. the zend studio personal is free for non-commercial use only.

also did stumble across tulip: http://tulip.solis.coop.br/us/index.php

Regarding sintax, Tulip has auto-completion, sintax-highlighting and
sintax hints, features provided thorugh GtkScintilla library and
configuration files containing all the sintax rules. Besides everything,
Tulip has all popular features present in any other popular text
editors, such as copy, cut, paste, search, go to, fast work file
exchange, and others. Tulip brings an embedded Database navigator, in
wich you may access your Database (Mysql or Postgres), make queries,
edit or delete your records.
