Re: [ossig] MOSIG list kinda quiet

Hi Molly

perhaps I'm over reacting a bit but these are my concerns:

1. Thanks to Ammar we have a professional to review the document - this
is what I meant by "formal review" - the thing is will she be willing
to have it coming back with lots of little changes 4-5 times ....
because of ....

2. Not enough people have seen the document and provided feedback -
Thanks to the 5 of you who made the time/effort but the rest of us just
couldn't make it. This is going to be an iterative process so lets at
least make it asynchronous

3. My feeling is the 20 people who turned up at the first meeting
cannot be considered a sufficiently large enough group - and one person
who turned up could not attend - I don't care what he has done but if
he is interested to participate, he should be able to. Just like a code
review, the more people look at the document, the more feedback we will
get and once the document has been through several rounds of review it
should be ready to pass to a professional to look at...so we don't
"abuse our resources"

4. July 17th is a way off, the document review by as many people as
possible (isn't this the OSS way?) should start now, so major concerns
may be highlighted and handled early - the document should at least be
sent to everyone on the MOSIG mailing list and any new list members who
sign up (if it were up to me I would post it to every OSS mailing list
in Malaysia and on a web site for everyone to download - like an IETF
RFC) . So even if people cannot make it to the meetings they can
provide feedback through the mailing list - isn't that what the mailing
list is for ? I can tell you right now, my workload in the next 2 weeks
will prevent me from attending any meetings but I would like to
participate in the creation of this document ... the only way for me to
do this at this time is if I have a copy of the document - and I'll bet
so will many other people

5. It looks to some people that this is a closed group limited to the
20 on the first day - that is probably the worst point - don't make
turning up at the meeting the only way to participate in this
