I couldn't make it either, by the time I was done with my meeting it
was 11PM... didn't feel like going to another one

This further reinforces my point a week back that WG meetings cannot be
physical meetings all the time, we live in the Internet Age, why use
Stone Age collaboration methods ? We have email, mailing lists, icq,
aim, msn messenger even .... anyway this is going to be settled on the
17th once and for all, we put it to the vote and end any
argument....I'm proposing an IETF RFC type mechanism

The IETF only meets 3 times a year, yet they churn out more RFCs than
anyone can read in a lifetime ...ok bit of exaggeration but you get my
point?
Almost all IETF work happens on the mailing list

Ok, for those who don't know....
IETF is Internet Engineering Task Force - the "open source like"
community which develops open standards for the Internet
RFC - a Request For Comment - a document which is published on the web
for free download outlining an idea, a protocol proposal, a protocol
standard etc
