This is one of  my  major beefs with yum   - I hate watching  my  disk
thrash as it digs through  all the headers.  And  on my 128MB StinkPad
it's a lost cause ;)

What's  this  repodata of which  you  speak -  is  yum  going  to stop
thrashing my disks finally?
