naw, i am not so good with bashing :) we can use a few Krombacher

then you compare out of the box, it is already an unfair comparison. i
think with standard installation you do have *more* stuffs in linux
than windows XP. it depends also on which windows manager you are
using, and what kind of things are set or defined for you. of course i
would not also expect to compare XP with window maker or xfce4..
because those are just too simple.

i dunno, on my notebook i don't really notice such "noticable"
slowliness. and i don't have any super duper Centrino stuffs on mine,
but just an old PIII 650. hmm... time to upgrade?
