Doubt it - if you're using GNOME/KDE, its the same. Keep in mind that
the GNOME you see in FC2 is upstream GNOME (ditto with KDE) - so Ubuntu
will have the same exact slowness. Mandrake uses KDE, and I have no idea
if they patch or its as the same as upstream

So if XP seems faster, FC2 or Ubuntu (from a desktop, GNOME perspective)
will be the same. Maybe you'd like to join those profiling GNOME and
cleaning out all the ridiculous things that happen with bad code...

Of course, make them run XFce4 (also in FC2) and that'll just rock

2400W on each power socket. That could be about 10 computers on each
power socket, thanks to power boards. 1 phase power supply. Remember,
450W PSUs in PCs still don't use that much energy
(correct me if I'm wrong, my physics is rusty)

It just needs to be simple... I have a sample if required. 1 page, just
state name, details of your computer (so you dont think we swiped
something while you were away), say we're not responsible for data loss
(if any), or hardware failure (yes, installing Linux will kill your
hardware :P if its already meant to die..that is)

No idea, never had to read it, and still enjoy doing it

Mall? University campus hall?

Here in Melbourne, we've done it at university halls, town halls (do we
have these in M'sia?), (girls) boarding school, and even a mall. By far,
the most popular were the first three though...
