This is not the first time I have heard of this kind of thing. I had a
friend who worked in a company with a boss just like this.
Interestingly the boss was an incredibly stingy guy who wouldn't even
invest in certain office necessities such as a good printer, but when
the MS vendor comes around and waves something in his direction, his
immediate response is always "Microsoft tells me to buy this. I *MUST*
OBEY!" and goes and forks out insane amounts of cash for whatever the
guy is selling. It's totally inexplicable! I think MS salesmen know
the frequency of PHBs' brainwaves, and can tune their Microsoft
Brainwasher XP (with Service Pack 23a) software to make them do
anything they want, defying all logic. PHBs' would rather listen to
some salesman than their own employees! That's just weird.
