RE: [ossig] Do we need a local Linux Magazine?

Was wondering how much local content that can be included into the local
Linux
magazine month after month? Can the local community churn out enough
local
content to fill the mags? Not being cynical but just wondering. :-)

IMHO, collaborate with overseas Linux mags; ie. LinuxPilot.net or Linux
Journal;
as the Malaysian charter for them, like how Popular Mechanics mags do.
At least
we can use their articles and in addition of local contents to fill up
pages;
plus adverts of course.

Touching on secondary school kids. Anyone have any idea whether there
are any
secondary schools are into OSS, GNU/Linux or *BSD thingies? Are there
any
secondary kids in the mailing lists? If there are, I think the community
need
to help them out to prepare them as the next generation "ossig-er" or
"myoss-er".

Just my 2 sen.
