Pro tem Committee Meeting - Nov 28 2004

First meeting of MOSIG Pro tem Commitee to discuss steps that need to be
taken for the formation of MOSIG.

              * Rights of voting 
                      * Dinesh objects to gap in rights between founding
                        members and new members
        
        Need laywer
        Lawyer will cost about ~RM8K to tender documents.
        
        
        Operations
        Needs full time staff (Dinesh/Tze Meng) in order to be
        professional. This will result in costs. Initially this is
        expected to be around RM50K annually.

        Concerns of corruption
        Structuring MOSIG around a company model like PIKOM may raise
        issues of corruption (from experience of PIKOM). - Dinesh
        
Add Jason Tan to pro tem committee

A unanimous decision was made by the committee to bring Jason Tan on
board.


Next Steps

Identify Companies

Funding is an issue because need funds to startup, but difficult to fund
raise without a legal entity. Committee suggest that we raise funds by
identifying group of interested open source companies.

MoU between 15 companies to start off was suggested by Khairil. Dinesh
however pointed out that this would take too long, and that a verbal
agreement would be good enough as a start.
