Re: [ossig] Ops Tulen?
imho, setting up a small business of distributing oss cd with an tulen
sticker will be a pretty decent business.
come to think of it, my boxed suse pro 9.1 has no tulen sticker. neither
has any of the cds that came along with the books and magazines that i
bought. the m$ open license pack has no tulen stickers. obviously, none
of the stuff i downloaded has any tulen stickers.

Hi all... sorry for the cross-post.
We got a letter warning that Ops Tulen would be starting up soon, and
although we're confident that the small fraction of non-F?L?OS
software which we use is in fact legal, the recent incidences of *BSD
seizure bothers me. What would we do in the event that somebody
challenges our e.g. burned copies of RH9? Are there any lawyers in
Malaysia who would be competent in our defense?
To the end of educating both the police and the users, perhaps APDIP
might do well to make a public statement both the police about how
licensing issues affect FLOSS. Any plans, Khairil?
And of course, those of us in a position to do so can probably
generate quite a bit of publicity and/or sales with a well-timed
migration to OOo.
