On going recruitment (schedules pack till end of March)... Workshop 1 would start after CNY... Have to hire soon... runnin low on staff... currently (4)

Workshop1 would cover:
-Philosophy / Overview / History of Open Source
-What Open Source can do for you?

>How many students signed up so far?
Hundreds (exact amount yet to calculate). Should easily reach 500+ by end of this month (4 colleges). We will be going for a second round with these 4 colleges as there are still many students who aren't aware yet. We had only approached less than 30% of the students of each campus.

>How's the response from the students?
Great! We've got students from IT, Engineering, Law, Business, Marketing, Accounting, Lecturers and Adults who signed up. Our hit rate is 7/10 will sign up!

Something encouraging for us is that, Open Source is now like the "In" thing for them. It's a talk about topic. We will be launching our Forum and IRC some time early Feb. Will be directing their interest there and be shared among other members.

In conclusion, to me it's a great start for Open Source in year 2005 :) Lot's of sharing to do...
