Re: [ossig] Another Case Study from M$

<quote>
 “In 1999 and 2000, the partners were pushing very hard for Linux but
acceptance was very low. The corporate sector was not receptive to
Linux,” Er says.

By the 2nd half of 2000, the company had decided to stop its aggressive
promotion of Linux and instead adopted a more pragmatic business
approach by offering solutions on the Microsoft platform as well. Er
admits that whole-hearted support or love for Linux does not guarantee
business survival.

I find M$ lame, to use a biz that failed in .my 4 years ago, as a case
study. Perhaps Solinique went into the market prematurely, when the
platform was less userfriendly and market acceptance was lower. A more
recent conversion would be more convincing.
