I tried to look for a decent site early last year but coudlnt find an affordable host for a low cost application.
You could try jspin
http://www.jspin.com/home/jspwebho and look under malaysia or the other hosting sites. Or see http://www.javaservlethosting.com
Other items that i had to deal when looking for the site include
database (version)
administration of site (compiling)
SMTP
Java and servlet versions
webserver version e.g. tomcat 4.x or 5.x
There were a dozen more items, which eventually shelved my project (its due to cost and maintenance)

Is there any different to host in Malaysia compared to other country?
