Hi Tejinder,

Have you checked the system log. What does it say (at boot and at login)? did you by any chance change the hostname and the system is having diff in locating the modified hostname?

 hi guys,
 
 i need your help.
 
 my fc3 installation on a dell 510m refuses to boot
 completely. I have tried googling for a solution the
 whole morning, but alas....
 
 the symptoms are as follows:-
 fc3 boots up normally right up till the login
 screen.
 i enter my username and password and fedora hangs.
 no
 splash screen, nothing. just the blue screen (not
 the
 blue screen of death)
 HW specs:- dell 510m, 1.6 GhZ with centrino chipset,
 512 Mb RAM, 60GB HDD, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, 15"
 screen.
 
 dual boot WinXP and FC3
 
 system was working fine up till friday night. was
 trying to get my USB drive working with FC3.
 
 any assistance rendered is deeply appreciated...
