CICC Scholarships: Fiscal 2005 ( First
and Second Periods)
The CICC Japan has just communicated to MNCC on the availability of scholarships for the following courses subsidized by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) scheduled for Fiscal 2005: First Period - 29 August to 14 October 2005 and Second Period - 31 October to 16 December 2005. 1. IT Project Manager Training Course (PRO) This course is designed to train IT
supervisors or managers who will be in charge of the project management. The
course introduces PMI’s Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK). The course
covers the project management knowledge areas, project management human skills,
and project management simulation. The course provides a blended training,
combining e-Learning and lecture, exercises and discussion 2. Bridge System Engineer Training Course (BET) This course is designed to train system engineers who
understand Japanese language and business custom, and play a role of a "Bridge"
to establish business alliances between the Japanese and own-country's IT
industries. This course introduces the concept of the project life cycle, from
planning to delivery, and project management. It provides lectures and practical
training in detail for each process of the life cycle based on the proven
concepts used in Japanese business organizations, including Japanese corporate
culture and business customs.
The basic requirements are a university degree and age between 20 to 50 years with 3 years more of relevant experience. All MNCC members who are eligible are urged to apply for the scholarships for the above courses as soon as possible. Application forms are obtainable from the MNCC Secretariat and the closing dates respectively are 16 May 2005 for the First Period and 25 June 2005 for the Second Period.
