That's Plain FUD and yes.. did you miss the quote I quoted??
"people would generally go with what is acceptable and widely used,
rather than try something different." - Singapore School Authorities
when asked about their stance on Open Source by David Tang, Novell

Isn't this where OSC (Open Source Community/Club) is supposed to stand
out? [1]
But then again, the OSS community in M'sia is fragmented. We[2]
intend[3] to change that.
[1] Yes.. That was a _direct_ swipe at OSC. I've had numerous people
coming to me and saying there nothing being done after the initial hype.
Can OSC Comment on this? We don't want a few bad apples to ruin the
whole carton.
[2] Myself and some other "nothing better to do Homer Engineers :-)"
[3] Working on it. We can't promise that change _will_ occur but we have
a roadmap(which the mag is one of) to seed the clouds. The torrential
rain will have to depend on whether the students wants to dance for the
OSS Gods. (Rather than the proprietry ones)
/me reminded of the Self Elected Lemur King in Madagasar. (The Cartoon)
