The alert was sent within one hour of occurrence. So, no one knows if
a tsunami will form or not until it hits landfall about one hour
later. Since the waves did not swell too much, the warning was
subsequently withdrawn - 0120 hours Malaysian time.
The problem is the lack of early warning system to warn people other
than those that watch tv after 0020 hours.
